02/06/2008 - Prof. Dr. Utz-Hellmuth Felcht appointed as member of Süd-Chemie's Supervisory Board

Prof. Dr. Utz-Hellmuth Felcht (61), a partner of One Equity Partners Europe GmbH, Munich, has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, with effect from 4 February 2008 by means of a decision taken by the responsible registration court at Munich Local Court.

The Supervisory Board and the Managing Board of Süd-Chemie AG filed an application with Munich Local Court to appoint Prof. Dr. Felcht as a Supervisory Board member in order to complete the Supervisory Board. Dr. Hans Heinrich von Srbik resigned from the Supervisory Board with effect from 26 December 2007.

Prof. Dr. Felcht has wide-ranging experience in managing international companies in the chemicals industry. Positions he held in the past include CEO of Degussa AG and CEO of SKW Trostberg AG. Prof. Dr. Felcht holds seats on several supervisory and administrative boards, including at SGL Carbon AG and Ciba Spezialitätenchemie AG.

Prof. Dr. Felcht completes the Supervisory Board of Süd-Chemie AG together with Dr. Dietrich Schulz (Chairman), Christoph Giulini (Vice Chairman) and Dr. Peter Schweighart, Dr. Dolf Stockhausen and Konstantin Winterstein as shareholder representatives. The employees are represented in the Supervisory Board by Johann Meier, Rainer Seufert and Peter Simon.
